LINLITHGOW 2s v BORDER REIVERS

This was a long awaited match as the match had originally been scheduled in October, but issues with the Linlithgow courts meant the match had to be postponed.  This match concluded the first half of the season.  Reivers returned home with a 17-6 victory which means the Border Reivers go into the Christmas Break Top of East League 3 with 9 wins  from 9 matches.  With Tony Elliot, Michael Currie and Richard Hebb unbeaten in the individual games.

The Reivers are a massive 20 points clear of second place Watsonians 4s and the players wish they could just keep going as they are on a roll!

Tam Captain Del Sharratt said “It’s absolutely fantastic to be comfortable top of the league at the half way stage, this time last season the Border Reivers struggled to raise a team for some matches and had some big losses.  Buit there is a Great Team Camaraderie in the Reivers first team just now and each player play for the jersey and the team solidarity yields success.  I’m excited for the 2nd half of the season and to see how long we can maintain our unbeaten record for!
